2 Ingredients Strawberry Milkshake

Sharing is caring!

Making this milkshake after a long time, as now strawberries are generally finished before I make a milkshake as my 2 kiddo’s love strawberries. I just sneaked in some to make this Strawberry milkshake for our monthly Blogging marathon in which I have chosen kid’s Delight drinks. In Blogging Marathon we a group of bloggers pick a minimum of 2 themes and blog each week for 3 days continuously. My earlier week was about Condiments, this one is about Kids-Delight, Drinks, so you will see 3 new Kid friendly Drinks. The first drink I prepared was Chocolate Oreo Milkshake.

Berries are loaded with loads and loads of nutrients. I have already mentioned about some health benefits of berries in my earlier post on 5 min Healthy Greek Yogurt Breakfast Bowls, so not going to add more to it. I like to keep my milkshake simple as I try to make it as healthier as possible and easy to make instead of some lengthy process.

This milkshake is a favorite of my family and is very simple to make. If you have loads of strawberries and do not know what to make, just puree them and store it in a jar in refrigerator or in cubes in freezer. Whenever needed just defrost it and use. Even defrosting is not needed as you can blend the strawberry cubes in a blender along with milk to get chilled milkshake.

Now comes do we need to add sugar or no. It’s a personal choice and also depends on the sweetness of the strawberries. I have not added any sugar in this one and actually at times I do not even realize I have not added sugar as the sweetness comes from the fruit. Natural sugars are better than the processed ones. I generally take it as is, but sometimes add like half a teaspoon per glass for my family.

Generally I make strawberry milk shake with strawberry crush that is always present in my kitchen. This time during season, I made milkshake with fresh strawberries for the first time. Omg! The taste and the color of milkshake with fresh strawberries was incomparable. Your shake has reminded me the taste and it has got a pretty pink color.
