Sugarless Ragi Ladoos | Sugarless Ragi Energy Bites

Sugarless Ragi Ladoos or Sugarless Ragi Energy Bites is a quick and easy snack recipe loaded with Calcium, Iron and all the essential nutrients.

  • 2 Tbsp Ghee / Clarified Butter
  • ¾ Cup Ragi Flour
  • ¾ Cup Hazelnuts
  • 1 Cup mix of Prunes, Dried Figs, Dried Apricots
  • ¾ Cup Dates (Roughly Chopped- I have used the soft variety)


  1. In a heavy bottom pan add the ghee
  2. Add the Ragi flour, and on slow dry roast the ragi flour, until it changes colour and becomes fragrant. (Around 10-15 minutes)
  3. Let this cool completely.
  4. In a food processor or your blender jar, add in the Hazelnuts.
  5. Processes it as finely as you desire.
  6. Add in the dates ,mix of Prunes, Dried Figs, Dried Apricots.

  7. Process it until it forms a crumbly texture and starts combining.

  8. Now add the Ragi flour and combine everything.
  9. Take a tablespoon of the mixture and form ladoos.
  10. Store it in airtight container and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

  • 1 teaspoon = 5 ml, 1 tablespoon=15 ml, 1 Cup=235 ml
  • You can use nuts and dried fruits of your choice.
