No-Bake Oats Protein Bar

No-Bake Oats Protein Bar is one of the best after-workout protein bar recipes made with oats, nuts, and chocolate whey protein powder.

Setting time: 2 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats Any type should be fine
  • 4 tablespoon of Chocolate whey protein powder Can be replaced with cocoa powder
  • 2-3 prunes
  • 2-3 figs
  • 5-6 Medjool dates Use soft variety
  • 6-7 chocolate mint herbs Can be replaced with any other mint or skipped
  • 2-3 tablespoon coconut oil more or less may be required
  • 2 tablespoon Chocolate chips/chocolate button/chocolates optional

Instructions

  • De-seed the dates, prunes, and figs if they have seeds.
    2-3 prunes, 5-6 Medjool dates, 2-3 figs
  • In a blender add all the ingredients except coconut oil and melted chocolate.
    1 cup oats, 4 tablespoon of Chocolate whey protein powder, 6-7 chocolate mint herbs

  • Process everything until it resembles a fine crumbly mixture.
  • Add 2 tablespoon of melted chocolates (if using)
    2 tablespoon Chocolate chips/chocolate button/chocolates
    Adding of melted chocolate.
  • Chocolate can be melted in a microwave or a double boiler.
  • Now slowly add coconut oil 1 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture turns into a lump.
    2-3 tablespoon coconut oil
    Processed Mixture in a food processor.
  • Once done, remove the mixture into a greased tray.
  • Tap it with the back of a spoon.

  • Give cuts to the mixture as desired.
  • Refrigerate it and let it set for a couple of hours or overnight.
  • Once set, gently remove each piece and store it in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Standard US Size cups are used.
  • Measurements are a rough guide. One can change as required.
  • More or less oil might be required depending on the mixture.
  • At times the mixture might not set, but it’s okay, one can enjoy it in powder form too :-)
